ME: RE: kSync, SyncML

Hi Sean,

What are the goals of the kSync project?
** To simplify the synchronization of data and application logic [code] on
J2ME devices.

What is the status of kSync?
**Today, we do not in fact have a chair or committers for the kSync project.
We are looking for a chair to lead this project.

Who is leading the kSync effort?
**Today, we do not in fact have a chair or committers for the kSync project.

Is kSync going to be a SyncML client, a SyncML server, or both?
**Both.

Do you have some time to invest?

Hello

I just read the September 10, 2001 press release regarding "EnhydraME"

  http://www.lutris.com/company/pressReleases/Press010907.html

The press release states:

"The EnhydraME project is also announcing the creation of the following five
additional
J2ME infrastructure components that will soon be launched on the EnhydraME
project:
  [...]
a.. kSync - An implementation of SyncML for synchronization of both
database and
                       application session state.

 [...]"

What are the goals of the kSync project?

What is the status of kSync?

Who is leading the kSync effort?

Is kSync going to be a SyncML client, a SyncML server, or both?

Regards,

-Sean
